Vickie Simpson

Vickie Simpson serves as Policy Advisor to the Attorney General on disability related matters. She joined the staff of the Illinois Attorney General's Office in 1989. For the past 21 years she has worked in the Disability Rights Bureau enforcing accessibility laws and standards to ensure the people with disabilities have access to the services offered by public accommodations and units of local and state government. She has conducted numerous trainings for those involved with the built environment including contractors, engineers, architects and code officials. She received her BS and MS in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University.
