John Tyler, P.E., RAS serves as Senior Project Manager for Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc., a multidiscipline design firm in Texas. Specializing in ADA remediation projects within the public right of way, he is responsible for transportation project design and management. Mr. Tyler guides clients and stakeholders from project inception to completion using innovative approaches to satisfy their project needs and secure goal-oriented delivery. He develops firm strategic technology, including approaches to data collection and design which streamline design and construction processes for ADA projects throughout the state. He and his teams have developed methods allowing for rapid field evaluation and design of improvements while drastically minimizing the need for traditional survey. He has overseen the evaluation and design of 887 miles and over 15,000 intersection accessibility improvements throughout the state. Mr. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University. He maintains his Professional Engineering license in and is a Registered Accessibility Specialist with the State of Texas. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, serving as board member with the Texas Section and San Antonio Branch. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and playing music.
