6E Public Rights-of-Way: Part 2

The proposed Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities in the Public Right-of-Way address accessibility of pedestrian facilities such as sidewalks, shared use paths, and other elements located in the public right of way. This session will include an update of the current status of the rulemaking process and a short discussion of the basic obligations of States and local agencies to make their facilities accessible. The guidelines for accessible pedestrian signals, roundabouts, parking and transit stops will be presented.
