1C Service Animals

1C Service Animals

Service animals are defined and viewed differently under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Air Carriers Access Act (ACAA). This session will focus specifically on the rights of individuals with disabilities who use service animals under the ADA and the responsibilities of entities covered by the ADA. This session will cover who can have a service animal, what service animals are allowed, what documentation can be required or requested and when a service animal can be refused. This is a basic session targeted toward entities that provide customer service to the general public
